ENERGY STAR Certification

EAM is nationally accredited to provide professional independently verified analysis and inspections services for new homes to qualify under the guidelines of the federal ENERGY STAR Qualified Homes Program or any State supported Energy Star new homes program. EAM evaluates the heating, cooling, and hot water energy use, as well as the home's major appliance loads, and models how these items interact with the new home's building envelope.

New Home features which contribute to improved home quality and homeowner comfort, and lower energy demand and reduced air pollution, include, but are not limited to:

  • building envelope upgrades
  • high performance windows
  • controlled air infiltration
  • upgraded heating and air conditioning systems
  • tight duct systems
  • energy efficient lighting and appliances
  • upgraded water-heating equipment

EAM’s experience in providing over 5,200 certified Energy Star homes, earning the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Partnership Achievement Award in 2004, 2005, and in 2006, brings that Perfect Balance to your project and confidence in the skills of the Team you will be working with to ensure full certification, and applicable incentives if available.

EAM has certified over 5,200 Energy Star qualified homes. As a result, these homes have helped to remove more than 24,632,400 lbs. of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which is like:

  • Removing the emissions equivalent to 2,131 cars
  • Saving 17,283 barrels of oil and
  • Saving 8,603,494 lbs. of coal.

The savings impact continue to grow monthly as we continue to certify additional units as meeting the Energy Star program requirements for their specific site location.
